What happens after I contact you?
We will arrange a free 15-minute chat via phone or Zoom that gives us the chance to get a sense of each other and talk about what you would like to address in therapy.
If during or after this call we decide to work with each other, we will arrange a day and time for our first session.
What happens in the first session?
In the first session I conduct an assessment, which means it is a structured session during which I will ask you some questions about yourself and what brings you to therapy. The assessment has the purpose of making sure that we are okay to work with each other.
After the assessment regular therapy sessions can start.
How regularly will we meet?
We will meet for a 50-minute session once per week in a regular time slot.
Do you have any areas of specialism?
Yes, I have an additional certification in sex counselling. So if you are thinking about having therapy in order to talk about your relationship(s), dating and being on the apps, navigating relationship models (e.g. open relationships, ethical non-monogamy, polamory), sex/sexualities, your gender journey, experiences of non-consent, etc. I might be the right therapist for you.
However, my experience is not limited to my area of specialism. I have experience of working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, neurodivergence, adjustment to significant life changes (e.g. pregnancy, parenthood, separation, divorce, ...) and more.
No matter what you come to therapy with: all feelings are welcome.
What does "integrative" mean?
Integrative means that I have been trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities and that I use different theories and approaches depending on what you would like to address in therapy.
These are the therapeutic modalities I use in my practice:
Do you offer concessions?
Yes. My standard fee for in-person sessions is £75. I do however offer concessions for daytime online sessions. Please mention this in your e-mail when you contact me regarding a free intitial chat.
